Considering the extension of cooperation between the Russian Federation and China in order to provide a full visa support for the growing number of trips of citizens of China and third country citizens to Russia a new Visa Centre is opened in Guangzhou on December 20th 2016. The opening of the Center will provide a convenient and optimal submission process and obtaining documents for applying for Russian visas. At the same time individual applicants have the right to apply for a visa personally at the Russian Consulate General in Guangzhou according to the electronic queue. Multiple visa holders are limited to overall or continual stay of 90 days during each period of 180 days starting with day of first entry.
Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in Beijing is not authorized to renew visas issued by other agencies.
In case the Consular Section does not issue visa, the submitted invitations will not be given back.
Incomplete Visa Application Form shall not be processed.
The Consular Division is authorized to request any supplementary documents and information in regard of the application.
For visitors traveling as a group the complete set of documents should be provided by each person.
The applicant should apply for visa personally or authorize another person by Power of Attorney.

Citizens of all Schengen countries, Israel, Finland, Estonia and Lithuania are to provide medical insurance for the whole period to stay in Russia or written guarantee for all medical expenses by the receiving party.

IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A RUSSIAN ENTRY VISA THE FOLLOWING PAPERWORK SHOULD BE SUBMITTED:

The Applicant has to submit the Chinese permit for residence (an original and its photocopy). Valid national passport and photocopy of its main pages. It must be valid for the period of no less than six months from the intended date of departure from Russia.

Original passport and copy of the main page (passport should contain minimum 2 empty pages for visas, validity of the passport – 6 months from the end of the requested visa)

The documents required to obtain visas for the Russian Federation must be submitted at the Consulate General of Russia in Guangzhou after having made an appointment in advance. You can make an appointment yourself using Online appointment system's website http://guangzhou.kdmid.ru/queue-en/.

Attention! If on the day of applying for visa you have not made an appointment or you are late, you must make an appointment one more time.

 

The completed visa application form (one per person). The form must filled on line on this link (https://visa.kdmid.ru/PetitionChoice.aspx), and then printed and signed by the applicant. One colored passport-size photo should be sticked to the application form.

Passengers of cruise vessels

Please be advised that registered passengers of Cruise vessels going offshore at Russian seaports enjoy a visa waiver for 72 hours if:

  1. The Cruise vessel stays in a Russian port for less than 72 hours;
  2. Passengers stay overnight on board the ship;
  3. Passengers disembark with an organized tour group;
  4. Passengers have a valid passport and a tour ticket.

 

If you have a connecting flight at the same terminal within 24 hours (e.g. Beijing– Moscow – Houston) and stay in the transit zone, no visa is required.

 If you travel to the Republic of Belarus or other destination when you have to change airports please make sure that you applied for transit visa.
